Impact and Communications Associate

The Impact and Communications Associate is a mid-level position at Dolma Advisors Pvt. Ltd. (DAPL) with responsibilities spanning impact data management, strategic communications, and cross-functional project coordination. The role supports Dolma Impact Fund I and II portfolio companies across renewable energy, healthcare, and technology sectors, contributing to sustainable value creation and high-quality stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will manage impact and operational data, support the design of Minerva’s data flows, and produce knowledge products such as case studies, success stories, infographics, and reports. In addition, the role includes strengthening Dolma’s digital and media presence, supporting internal and external communications, and contributing to public relations activities.

The Associate will also assist in managing Technical Assistance (TA) grants, coordinating with portfolio companies to ensure effective capacity-building and alignment with best practices. As part of DAPL’s broader advisory work for Dolma Fund Management, the position requires close collaboration with investment, operations, and E&S teams to deliver accurate data, clear narratives, and consistent communication across stakeholders. This role reports to the Head of E&S and Impact and supports Dolma’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 7, 13, 8, 5, and 17).

Roles and Responsibilities

Impact Data & ESG Reporting

  • Develop and manage impact data systems across portfolio companies, including setting baseline metrics and ensuring quarterly and annual performance monitoring in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Lead the design and implementation of impact, operations, and investment data flows in Minerva, Dolma’s internal data management platform.
  • Support portfolio companies in establishing reporting frameworks, monitoring progress, and aligning with investor impact requirements.
  • Prepare and design key publications such as annual reports and impact reports, translating data into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor real-world impact, verify data, and collect human-centered impact stories.
  • Facilitate lesson-learned workshops and build capacity within portfolio teams to document and share best practices.

Strategic Communications & PR

  • Develop and implement a quarterly internal PR plan to promote Dolma’s brand through success case studies, impact stories, videos, learning products, and digital campaigns.
  • Lead Dolma’s digital presence across social media, newsletters, and website updates, including content creation, post design, and regular publishing.
  • Manage an external PR strategy, including media outreach, interview and article placements, award submissions, speaker opportunities, and participation in thought leadership platforms.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and professional representation of Dolma across all public-facing communications.

Investment Support & Reporting

  • Assist in developing internal communication materials such as reports and presentations, ensuring consistency, clarity, and high-quality visual design.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects that combine impact, finance, and storytelling—bridging data insights with investor communications.
  • Support needs assessments and manage Technical Assistance (TA) projects for portfolio companies to ensure alignment with sustainability, impact, and governance objectives.

Event & Campaign Management

  • Lead full-cycle planning and execution of both high-level external events and internal team-building initiatives.
  • Oversee vendor coordination, logistics, branding, and guest engagement to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Represent Dolma at public forums and support communication and visibility efforts across stakeholder groups.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in relevant academic fields such as social science, data management, project management or related field.
  • Training on graphic design is preferred.
  • Experience in marketing and project management is preferred.
  • A desire to bring sustainable, best practice business processes to Nepal.
  • English and Nepali fluency, both verbal and written.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, data management or relevant filed required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience, especially in public relations, data management, knowledge product generation, impact reporting.
  • Experience in public relations and/or marketing communications, impact analysis, management, measurement, reporting and the SDGs,
  • Proven ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
